Baptism (Sacramental Preparation)
Ministry Contact: Joseph Fey (386-747-2889)
“Since the earliest times, Baptism has been administered to children, for it is a grace and a gift of God that does not presuppose any human merit; children are baptized in the faith of the Church. Entry into Christian life gives access to true freedom” (CCC 1282). Baptism is the first of the seven sacraments, and the “door” which gives access to the other sacraments. Parents wishing to have their child baptized must participate in one preparation class prior to the reception of the sacrament. This class, for first-time parents, will clarify the roles of parents, godparents, and the various symbols used in the baptismal ceremony.
RCIA / RCIC (Sacramental Preparation)

The letters "RCIA" stand for the "Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults” and is the process by which adults are initiated into our Catholic community. An adapted version for children seven years and older, known as RCIC, is also offered. Both are processes in which men and women are guided and cared for as they awaken in faith and are gradually introduced to the Catholic way of life. The processes include individual lessons and experiences for each participant, based on their previous faith experience and interests. RCIA and RCIC are offered year round, so it is never too late (or too early) to start
