Altar Servers Ministry Contact: Joseph Fey (812-952-2853) Altar serving is a great joy and privilege for young people and adults. It is so much more than helping Fr. Kyle at Mass. As St. Pope John Paul II said, “Altar servers are called in particular to be young friends of Jesus. [Altar servers] are determined to go deeper and to cultivate this friendship with him.” For this reason, servers are invited to enter into a friendship with Jesus through on-going prayer and training. Altar servers are invited to participate at weekday, weekend, and special occasion Masses (weddings, funerals, Holy Days, etc.) throughout the year. |

Art & Environment Committee Ministry Contact: Pam Litch (812- 903-0068) The Arts & Environment Committee's duties are to clean the altar area of the church weekly and to enhance the liturgical environment with appropriate decorations throughout the church year. The group consists of parish volunteers who meet every 2 to 3 months to set a cleaning schedule and to decide on preparations for all upcoming holy seasons' decor. The weekly cleaning is accomplished by 2 or 3 volunteers working together to replace holy water and votive candles, fill the sacristy candle, dust, vacuum, and other chores related to the altar area. Volunteers assist especially with Christmas decorations, but all parish members are welcome and invited to join in assisting with the Committee's weekly and seasonal duties. The Committee’s involvement in the past year has greatly changed due to COVID19. This Committee has cleaned the sanctuary area weekly and decorated when appropriate. Members are also involved with other groups to maintain the church during the Pandemic. |
