St. Mary Church will be collecting gifts for the Salvation Army Angel Tree again this year. Please feel free to pick up a Angel card from the Christmas tree located in the Church between Saturday, November 21 and Sunday, November 29. Gifts need to be returned to the Church no later than December 3 at 3:00pm with the Angel card attached to it.
On Monday, November 30 (6:00-8:00pm), start the season of Advent off with a evening with family and friends. This year’s family night includes a variety of activities for the young and young at heart - Christmas carols, Jesse Tree activities, the story of St. Nicholas and more. (There is no cost for these activities.) Families and individuals are also invited to make their very own wreath. All supplies, including fresh greenery, basket, floral foam, candles, ribbon and prayer resources, will be provided at the cost of $10 per wreath.
Calling all actors, singers, and musicians: Preparations underway for the 2015 Christmas play and the parish is looking for interested children and youth to be part of this special Families of Faith event. We have a coordinator in place—but are in need of young actors and actresses to portray the birth of the Christ child, lectors to proclaim the Good News, and musicians to lead us in song. We would also be grateful to have adults who are willing to assist with mending costumes, leading practices, set up/tear down, etc.
