I-CAN (The Indiana Catholic Action Network) aims to help Roman Catholics, from throughout the state of Indiana, to stay informed and aware of current laws moving through state and national government.
Support the Breaking Bread Food Pantry, a ministry of St. Mary Church and Dare to Care, on the second Sunday of each month by donating items to the truck parked between the Church and school. Items needed: Canned fruit, tuna, spaghetti and peanut butter. Our next collection date is: May 7 & 8
The Breaking Bread Food Pantry would like to thank all of the faithful volunteers who give of their time, serving the needs of the vulnerable in our community. At this time, there is a need for more volunteers - high school age and adults - to work on Tuesdays between the hours of 4pm and 6pm.
Helping Hand accepting winter donations Our transition from summer to winter clothing went great! Thank you for your generosity! As the cold winter sets in, we are still in need of the following items: - Coats of all sizes - Infant and Children’s clothing - Men’s clothing —all sizes especially coats - Blankets - Hats, gloves, and scarves - New socks and underwear - Tennis Shoes and Boots - Child clothes hangers (20 or 30) - Toys (in working order), games, Christmas decorations, and miscellaneous items that can be given as a Christmas gift. Just a gentle reminder of a few guidelines when making a donation: all items need to washed and in working order. Items should be relatively stain-free, with no tears. Please do not put loose clothing in the bin.
Congratulations! Breaking Bread Food Pantry was chosen as one of 18 Catholic Relief Services Rice Bowl Grant recipients. Due to the generosity of those within the Archdiocese of Indianapolis who participated in the CRS Rice Bowl program in 2014, St. Mary’s Breaking Bread Food Pantry has been award $1,000 for its important ministry work. Thank you for your incredible service and sacrifice to our community, particularly to those who find themselves in need.
